Wedding of dear MONISHA and PRITHIVI
At St. Jude’s Church, Tuticorin on 21st October 2009

We thank everyone
for their prayerful blessings for this grand and memorable wedding by God’s grace. It’s a pleasure and Joy for
us to write following details of this wedding to share with our relatives and friends from different countries through Kattar
website. Thanks to dear Lally and dear Amrita (younger daughter of Mira and one and only sister of the newly wedded MONISHA)
for emailing the details.
This is the first wedding from the 4th generation of TPS KATTAR family. Therefore it is a historical
wedding for us. We are fortunate by God’s grace Ma/big sister was very much present and the new couple received
blessings together with Mom of Mira, Rita maini, Annan and Jessey Maini from Colombo,
Mr. and Mrs. Lali and Ladislaus Rodrigo, and others.
The choir sang 'You by my side' when the groom walked into the church, followed by the 'Bridal March' when the bride
walked in.
The bestman was
Deebak Dyas (the groom's brother).
The
ring bearer was Vivian Louis (the groom's cousin).
The Bridesmaid was Anusha Rayen.
The page boy was Vinit Rayen.
The
flower girls were Antania (groom's cousin's daughter), Trisha Peeriz, Amity Rodrigo and Tanisha Fernando.
The chief celebrant was Rev. Fr. Oswald VG. Rev.
Fr. Marian blessed the marriage. Nisha was lucky and fortunate to have her 1st, 2nd and 3rd sacrament to be blessed by the
same priest - Rev. Fr. Marian. Rev. Fr. Gnanaprakasam, the first parish priest of St. Antony's Church blessed the garlands
and the couple exchanged the garlands. Rev. Fr. Jero came later to wish the couple at the church.
The other priests who concelebrated the mass were:- Rev. Fr. Vedanayagam (Parish Priest of St. Jude's Church).- Rev. Fr. Prabhu (Assistant Parish Priest of St. Jude's Church).- Rev. Fr. Starwin (Parish priest of St. Antony's Church)- Rev. Fr. Cederic Peeris (the former parish priest of
St. Antony's Church and presently the parish priest at Virapandiapatnam).
The first reading was read by Amrita Rodrigo and the second reading was read by Mrs. Cynthia Sridhar (the groom's aunt).
The prayer of the faithful
was read by the following:
- Sally Rayen
- Sabrina Rayen

- Karthike (sister of the groom's mother)
- Anto Thomas (uncle of the groom)
- Joshua Thomas (uncle of the groom).
As soon as the marriage was blessed,
the choir sang the choral blessing ending with the seven fold Amen.
The offertory was
given by Mrs. and Mr. Ignatius Dyas (the groom's parents), Mrs. and Mr. Ben Rodrigo (the bride's parents), Deebak Dyas (groom's
brother), Amrita Rodrigo and Vinay Rodrigo (bride's sister and brother).
Vinay Rodrigo was the Master
of Ceremonies. Amity Rodrigo and Trisha Peeriz sang the prayer song.
Rev. Fr. Marian blessed the cake and spoke a few words. Mrs. and Mr. Aloysius A. Kattar garlanded the couple and led the
couple to cut the cake. Trisha, Amity abd Alisha gave an entertaining performance.
Mahesh Rayan (dad's cousin) felicitated the couple. Praveen Rodrigo read the felicitation on behalf of TPS OTM family members.
Prithivi Dyas (the groom) thanked the gathering and spoke a few words.
It ended with a grand lunch.
Praise the Lord. And Thank you for all your prayers for the
grand and successful wedding.
