Felicitation by Justin at Engagement
of dear Prashanth and Gamini on 12th July at Tuticorin.
My dear friends,
As
younger brother of Prashanth’s grandma Mrs. Stella Albin Kattar, maternal uncle of Prashanth’s mom Charlotte,
Sr. Fatima in Peru, Felcy and his brothers and sisters, and younger brother of late Sr. Anaclet Godmother of Prashanth,
I am very happy to say few words on this happy occasion.
“Speak Lord, your servant is listening.” (1Samuel 3:10)
Today is a special day in the life of both dear Prashanth and Gamini. The Love of God, has called them for a journey towards
a mission. To listen to the Lord, one must have obedience, perseverance humility and faithfulness. I am very sure both Prashanth
and Gamini have these virtues. To listen to the Lord, one must have personal relationship with him in prayer life, so
that the Lord will touch every area of our lives and transform us in His spirit to walk confidently in His truth and righteousness.
I pray that the Lord will touch dear Prashanth and Gamini in their innermost thoughts, feelings, attitudes and memories.
Prashanth is my grandnephew, one
and only son of my dear niece Charlotte and Jerome Fernando. Prashanth is the loving grandson of my late sister Mrs. Stella
Albin Kattar, most privileged Godson of my late Rev. Sr. Anaclet. We are indeed happy my elder sister Sr. Helen is here, came
all the way from Kalliyakavalai to representing God mother of Prashanth. My late Albin Athan who is the Godfather of Prashanth
is represented by dear nephew Felcy and his whole family and my grandnephew Varun and his wife Mary from Canada. My first
Godson Geoff eldest son of my elder brother Mr. Aloysius from Colombo is here representing his parents.
I am no. 9th in our TPS KATTAR family out of 10.
Dear Prashanth is my 9th grandnephew to get settled. Its God plan that I should come 2 days before the engagement
and were so happy and privileged we attended Vespers and great feast of SACRED HEART and Corpus Christi Procession in Patnam
yesterday and almost first time for me.
I brought the leaflet printed for the Golden Jubilee on 28th October 2007 of my elder brother Mr. Aloysius
and my sister in law Jacintha own elder sister of Rajam Chandraleka my better half, in Patnam . Now I wish to read the
2nd Reading during Golden Jubilee Mass of my brother and I hope this will be same reading for the wedding of Prashanth
and Gamini. I sincerely wish it will be the same reading also for their Silver, Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee too.
“Put on love,
which binds everything together in perfect harmony”. A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Colossians 3:12-17….Put
on, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness and patience, forbearing one another
and if one has a complaint against another forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven you, so that you also must forgive.
And above all these put on love which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your
hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body….
I liked very much all the Tamil hymns sung during the great Feast of SACRED HEARD and during CORPUS
CHRISTI Procession in Patnam by my neice Laly’s choir.
I wish to read one of the selected songs.. which has deep meaning that can inspire all of us towards our Lord.
