Our Story

This Mercy Home was founded in the year 1982 at Anaikarai by Rev. Mother Scholastica, the Foundress of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus(vellore).

Incidentally this year is the Silver Jubilee year(2007) of Mercy Home.

The Sacred Heart Sisters are taking care of 63 inmates, consisting of children, girls and women, in this home.

For most of the member it serves as a permanent home and for some it serves as a short stay home.
